really? he auctioned my OOAK dolls??

Posted by Helen on March 1, 2013

so, here comes another person (top rated seller on ebay) who stole my photos for ebay auctions, It happened that I have repainted this doll, I wondered if he repainted & restyled this doll the way I did, or he didnt know the doll was repainted but grabbed the photos for his auction anyway?? sad!

here are the 2 auctions that used my “OOAK doll” pictures

I can only make “one of a kind”, but his person made “2 of a kind”. super skilled!

Sad indeed! Hopefully you reported him. Perhaps the customer who recieves it will notice the difference, and demand a refund hehe

I am still in disbelief, how this could happen??? since the auctions have already ended, reporting him perhap doesnt help at all. I messaged him anyway, my question was ” did you only steal my pictures or my ideas as well?”

(I just saw your reply today) Even though you messaged him after the sale was over, it was a good thing for you to stand up for yourself.

  2. Wow, that’s a new one. I’m tempted to email the following questions: Where did you find this doll? Is she a variation?? She is much different than my doll. Is she a prototype? I wish I would have seen this pic earlier. I would have for sure! I’m so sorry this happened Helen!

    Oh I remember this seller.

I was looking for the Diamonds Barbie and I remember them having the best pictures. I think they figured out that having IRL pictures would speed up their sales. Sheer laziness, good thing I didnt purchase from them.

I guess the buyers thought they would be getting repaints + restyles based on the pictures, otherwise I dont understand why anyone would purchase a doll for $44 when an nrfb version is still available for $50

The buyers are overseas, one is from HongKong, the other is from France, so return would be a big hassle for them, that’s why the seller is not afraid of shipping the dolls to them. This dishonest seller deserves negative feedbacks.

I’m sorry to hear that your photo was stolen!
How can you find out the buyer is from? I thought it was hidden?
