Posted by helen on December 25, 2018

Merry Christmas from my dolls to yours

Its terrible if you woke up on Christmas morning and got a message from Santa that your gift has gone to other people’s house.

But keep cool, keep calm & have a Merry Christmas

Santa Claus Is Coming to Town

Posted by helen on December 11, 2018

Barbie has been nice & quiet for the entire year, “quiet” means nothing exciting,   I bet Barbie Signature lost more customers in 2018, the message board is nearly dead. I wonder how Santa is going to reward her. Apparently Mattel is hoping people would buy a lot during holiday season, so after a long pause,   a bunch of new dolls came out of nowhere and hit the signature store  to sweep you off your feet.

After buying 3 platinum dolls and one Disney princess, I lost all my purchasing power, so no matter how Mattel offers discount, I’m not moved,  –I’m done for 2018.

SilkiePeida–Silkstone Quick Guide 2001 & 2017

Posted by helen on December 4, 2018

“2001” looks very crowded,  loads of dolls and fashions:

“2017” is a lot less:

I started collecting Silkstone after I attended National Barbie Convention in 2009. I have all the information on the dolls made after 2009. Its difficult to find out the older dolls MSRP (Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price —Mattel’s List Price) and production numbers.

SilkiePeida –Silkstone Quick Guide

Posted by helen on December 3, 2018

Silkstone Barbie dolls produced between 2000-2015 will remain as one of the Best Mattel’s collectible production lines.

I decide to put together a “quick guide” using graphics. –I’ll call it “SilkiePedia”

It may take months & months to finish,  it involves a lot of  search & graphic work.  I’ll post whenever I have new panels.

my “SilkiePedia” includes each doll’s SKU number, SKU numbers can be used as keyword when you search a doll online.   For example, if you type “Barbie 26933” into Google Search Box, you will get “Garden Party fashion” as result.

Dolls made after 2006 have production numbers.   dolls made before 2006 don’t not have production numbers, as Mattel did not publish them.

Year 2000

Year 2016

Mattel distributed a bunch of “black dress” dolls  at Foreign doll Conventions, they are not on Mattel’s website,  I didn’t consider to include them in my “quick guide”, Now I think I may need to include them,  as its historical that Mattel decided to promote Poseable Silkstone.

Happy Holidays!

Posted by helen on December 1, 2018

It’s that time of the year again, Santa Claus is comin to town:

“A month of lights,
snow and feasts;
time to make amends and tie loose ends;
finish off what you started and hope your wishes come true”

Have a wonderful Holiday Season!
