Andy Who?

Posted by helen on November 28, 2015

I stole some photos from BloomingDales   she is a platinum, if you missed this one, you can wait for the Campbell soup, the soup probably will go sour, and end  up on clearances.

you can click on the images to see enlargements.. hot links  help BloomingDales to  promo her. lol

nothing about this doll reflects the fun of pop art, she is just another doll dressed up in a faux leather jacket, which we have had many before. and the black leather paint on the jacket will be peeling off very soon. my 80s Cher’s jacket looks so terrible after all the paints are peeled off.

if this doll is a gold label at $100, she would be on clearance for $30. Mattel can wrap up any shit as long as it puts a “platinum” label on it. it is the collectors themselves who spoiled the uninspired Barbie Designers. I cant think of a more boring pop art design than this

lol, my comment isn’t nice, many people who “love” this doll would be offended if they read me. these people relate their own personal worth to the value of the doll they collect, if you don’t like the doll, they think you devalue them. what they failed to understand is that I am a customer of Barbie’s, I buy tons of dolls each year, therefore, I am entitled to my opinions. if one’s praises are not equal to his purchases, he does not help Barbie. if Mattel listens to its customers, Barbie sales wouldn’t have dropped by 13% each year. Platinum may be the last straw to keep some people around, but it will lose attractions if it is not designed & distributed carefully… look how Tom Ford & Olivier Rousteing designed Andy Warhol-inspired fashions — its not about making a impersonator of Andy Warhol, its about how to catch his design style, how to be inspired by his artworks,.
