Weekend Casual II –Turtleneck T-shirts

Posted by helen on November 9, 2014

This girl is wearing exactly what I am wearing today.  A pair of Jeans and a long sleeve turtleneck printed cotton t-shirt from  “Jones New York Holiday Collection”.

I purchased this t-shirt a few days ago only b/c it was on sale, the sleeves were  too long, so I cut them  short— nothing was wasted, the 2 pcs of  remnants were just enough to make Barbie a t-shirt.
I think she likes it.  we are both happy. 🙂

Steffie got one for Christmas Holidays:

You can’t blame her for wearing Santa t-shirt in early Nov. The stores are full of Christmas stuffs right now, some stores put them out before Halloween… it annoys me… lol

  1. What a great way to use up your offcuts. She looks great and is such a pretty doll too. I totally agree about the Christmas stuff. They could at least wait until after Halloween instead of having it side by side in the shops for nearly a month. The Easter stuff will be in the stores before we’ve put the Christmas decorations too. At one time they would wait until after Valentines Day.

Thanks. t-shirts are little easier to make, since they don’t come with linings or darts, or pleats..

I think the stores take away the excitements of holiday when they fill up shelfs with holiday stuffs when holidays are far away. there was a news report in early Sept: Toys R Us goes into ‘ho, ho, ho’ mode. “There are still 105 days left until Christmas, but Toys R Us is already in holiday mode”. The stores really wish “Every Day is a Holiday”. My local TV station already told us all the shopping Malls near me will open at 6 AM on Black Friday. so you know how crazy it is.

      • It is crazy and it does spoil the fun of the holiday. My Christmas decorations will go up the weekend before Christmas and I will not touch a mince pie or a slice of christmas cake before then -except for tasting when I cook them 🙂
