Hi Helen, I think this dress lack of certain softness. Maybe the material is not right? The blue will look better if is in lighter pastel shade. Sorry, just what i thought 🙂

      thanks for the thoughts, Tim.
the material is light-weighted taffeta, it’s easier to work with. soft fabric like chiffon are very hard to sew, it takes extra time & work, some special processes & tools are needed. I am in lack of patience to do it.
color shades are all about personal preferences, different strokes for different folks. the dress in the original Vogue Sketch is Yellow, I changed it to blue.

By the way, Tim, dont feel sorry only b/c you want to express different opinions. one of my jobs was going to industry trade shows, meet our customers face-to-face & ask them what they didnt like about our products… I learned a great deal from them.

Hi Helen, Thanks for explaining. I always admire your talent. Your are great :). How i wish i could sew like you 😀

what a great thing that I dont have to go to these industry shows anymore and I dont miss them at all.. I went as far as Graz, Austria. not to mention Hong kong & Canton. oh, everyone can learn how to sew, no talents are needed, but a world of patience is required….
