BFMC goes Russia

Posted by helen on September 29, 2010

Have you seen  the sneak peeks?  2011 Silkstone will go with a Russian theme.  so far, there are 4 dolls in line: (not sure if there will be more in this line, but trust me, they wont sell very well)

  • Mila  $85
  • Nikolai  $75
  • Verushka $115
  • Darya $150

I m not a fan of any national costumes, so I am not excited about them, I do like the facial screening of Darya, but her price is $150, its  expensive if you compare to what she has to offer.

Verushka’s costumes are acceptable, her face reminds me of  “Tout de Suite”, which really isnt my favorite.

Nikolai can team up with the Ken from Japan, a fancy  birthday  party sounds fun, but I wont attend.

is Mila a wallflower or cauliflower? most likely, a wallflower.

them will  go on the clearance shelfs in 2012, maybe at the end of 2011.

its sad that silkstone has to copy “DOTW”? was the DOTW Russian girl on Clearance Shelf for $12 a couple of weeks ago during the “dream sale”?!

it’s better stick with my Hi-end.

Updates: Hi-end Silkstone Barbie

Posted by helen on September 28, 2010

lots of work, but she is ready to go!

I dont think Mattel would ever put this one in production, so I made it. they may have considered her as a tribute to silkstone’s “10th anniversary”, but chose the Blue one with ruffles instead. this dress actually is very 40s, not a modern style.

I couldnt find any nice embroidery pattern, so I did free hand,  almost gave up when I was doing it, but my patience paid off,  it adds the luxury to the dress.

do you know what “racist” is?

Posted by helen on September 28, 2010

if you dont like a black doll, you are a racist, if you dont like this so-called “Asian” ken, you are a racist…. if you say whiterning creams are selling well in Asian Market, you are a racist; if you dont like Obama’s polices, you are a racist!….  some people in this country blame Racist for everything and call everyone who holds opinions they dont like “racist”

there is a asweeping staircase in the Shanghai Barbie Flagship Store,  bedecked with 875 dolls. all the 875 dolls are blonde bombshells.

take a look at these Blondies,  and if you are one of these retarded who never educated yourself about culture & history, you should go to sit in front of the store and  protest against “Racist”…  that’s right, 875 CC dolls!

hi-end Silkstone Barbie

Posted by helen on September 28, 2010

I dont recall where I get this “hi-end” Robert Best sketches, but I know Mattel wont make a doll like this, if it does, the price will be high. so, I have decided to bring it alive.

everything is done except for some embroideries. I need to come up with a floral design, I got stuck here. little lost…

hopefully you all will have chance to meet her tomorrow.

more dolls

Posted by helen on September 27, 2010

maybe I felt I didnt buy enough during the BC “dream sale”, I had a shopping spree on eBay yesterday, bought 3 Lea dolls, 1 AA 45th Anniversary & 1 parisienne pretty, I forgot what price I paid for my last “Parisienne Pretty”, she is not cheap, but anyway, this is a pretty doll, I felt like having an extra.

AA 45th Anniversary Silkstone doll has long brown Hair, I thought its good to trnasfer her into a Joesphine Baker doll. “black pearl”, do you like this image??

Barbie & tattoos

Posted by helen on September 25, 2010

it makes perfect sense if Barbie has Tattoos, she is trendy & edgy. but for me, Tatto is one of the things I hate. absolutely unacceptable! so what am I going to do with her?! I should have known she has tattoos, but I totally forgot such a thing when I ordered her online!!! just HATE TATTOOS!

Christabelle–the sophisticated glamour

Posted by helen on September 24, 2010

here is one of my “dream sale” picks –Christabelle. there were so many dolls I wanted, but she was on my priority list when the dream sale finally came.

she truely is a beauty, if she were not an online exclusive, but available in stores, she would have been sold out for long long times ago. her color palette is “Silver Moonlight” with a mixture of mysterious purple, soft and romantic, but its not potogenic. Matter certainly didnt do great job on promo pictures, she was ignored by many collectors, I would not have bought her if I didnt see her in person:

I wasnt a fan of Lace, thought they were cheap looking. but the dress convinced me its okay to use it on high-end fashions.
