OOAKs! Be Creative!

Afternoon suit is out of her box, from suit to evening gown:
she set up a Poker Date, now she is on her way to Midge & Allen’s house to play Poker Games with them.
The street theme is Soho, NYC, I used to work in one of these buildings. our office was between “Eileen Fisher” and “Anthropologie”.
This Poker Dress killed a piece of very nice silk fabric. the fabric is so delicate, my toy-like sewing machine refused to cooperate, so I had to hand-stitch pieces together, I cant tell you how much work I have put on– but I can say: I’ll never want to make a deplicate— no more patience left for it.

I am still digging out Photos of the doll dresses I made before, so I could fill up my newly-founded Etsy “Store”… can you really call it a “store”? is being a “shop owner” that easy? lol
here is a sundress with French Poodle prints, I think this dress is perfect for my travel doll to wear for the Paris Event at the up-coming Barbie Convention– I dont remember what extactly the event is, is it Breakfast or fashion show? whatever it is, nothing says better about Barbie & France than Pink French Poodles..

I think she really loves this dress and wants to keep it in her wardrobe, but the poor girl cant have this one, b/c I made this one for someone else.

I wanted to purchase an extra Mermaid doll on Barbie’s Birthday when she was on sale, but I didnt have extra fund for her, now she is sold out…
the simple solution is: making one for myself. I bought a Louboutin Basic doll as the candidate for the role of my ”Fantasy mermaid”
her transformation took longer than I expected, and I have run out of patience.
A trial photo shoot –just to see if she deserves more of my efforts, I have not made costumes for her .. hope I’ll come up with something soon.

Just my opinion, ”holiday Hostess” dolls are too “plain and simple” for $75.
every Amateur sewer can do these “retro styled” dresses, there isnt a challenge at all.
