A Barbie made just for Christmas

I was watching TV, surfing net, drinking coffe, cooking potatos, doing laundries and painting this doll at the same time… but hey, I finished her in time! okay, I confess, it took longer than it should.

She wears a dress that’s a replica of Voyage in Vintage. I am sure I made better pattern than the original one, especailly the neckline. I cut it a little bit lower and it fits the doll perfectly, the original one wrinkles.

the doll was Enchanted EVening. now you may call her “Christmas Candy”–lol she’s got plenty Candy

this doll has a dirty repaint. although the picture doesnt show, her original facial paint was not completely removed, and the new paint added more mess. the blushes on her cheeks are so terrible, like the marks left by bathroom water damages

I wiped off all of her dirty paint, now she has a blank face.

now the transformation begins:

She wears violet-toned eye makeup, soft pink lipsticks, her eyebrows give her a little attitude she needed to protect herself.

well, actually, she needs a new dress, but that would not be my responsibilites. i am sure her owner will dress her up properly.

Mod Ken

Here comes my silkstone Ken, the black/white checker shirt is not finished, it could look great if I find him a red tie.

its much easier to make Barbie’s strapless gowns. Jacket, shirt,blouse, coat.. things involve collars, sleeves are hard to work on, as their are too tiny, its very hard to assemble pieces together. besides they are not as glamorous as evening gowns, so the work is boring as well, but ken needs a shirt!

After putting hours & hours of work on ken’s shirt & pants, I wouldnt want to make 2nd set:

ha, I found this old picture, can you believe it, I have worked on Ken as well, I think he scared some people, but he looks fine to me. anywya, he was grabbed by an ebay buyer as soon as I was ready to dump him. lol

Enchanted Golden Evening

although the “Enchanged evening” dress was copied by many pepole for thousands of times, I have to show off my Golden Enchantress, I believe the dress I made is much better than what the GAW doll wears. but you’ll be the judge.

Autumn leaves & flowers

I am going to “Barbie Day” get-togethers at Central Park Zoo tomorrow. we will have Gift-swaps.

here is the doll I prepared. she comes with 2 sets of outfits. one is a casual dress with autumn leaves, the other is a formal gown with autumn flowers. the color of the gown should be dark green, but it looks like Blue in the photo.
