Forgot to mention, the price is $100+, with $100, I would want the details on the wedding dress to be more close to the original, but certainly Mattel wont do it, you can see they are not the embroidery patterns on the original gown.

well, the silkstone Grace kelly Bride was $179, but the details on the replica dress are nowhere close to the original. the point is, customers dont really care, they just want 2 dolls named after the prince & the Duchess….

the construction of the dress actually is very simple, what unique about it is the embroidery works: “The lace appliqué for the bodice and skirt was hand-made …Individual flowers have been hand-cut from lace and hand-engineered onto ivory silk tulle to create a unique and organic design, which incorporates the rose, thistle, daffodil and shamrock.” unfortunately, I dont see any thing like that on the doll dress. it doesnt have to be hand-embroidered, but at least, the same flower patterns, where are the rose, thistle, daffodil & shamrock?

For me, the resemblance of the dolls to Will & Kate is pretty good, especially the William doll! The Kate doll, less so…but it’s her eyebrows that convey the essence of Kate to me. I’m not interested in them, especially for $100…but there are plenty of Royalty-loving collectors out there who probably will! :o )
