2010 Barbie Convention live auction dolls
Posted by dollsaga on July 26, 2010
these dolls are very expensive, most of us are unable to afford them, the good news is, if you dont really care for name & fame, you can purchase great quality OOAK dolls at very reasonable price.

only the last set was designed by Mattel designer Linda.

there are differences between Mattel designers & OOAk artists. mattel has recruited the best! I am a fan of Mattel.

dear Dollsaga,
love the site, it’s very informative and full of beautiful picture on the page about
the 2010 barbie convection what did you mean by mattel has recruited the best? Are you talking about Ninimomo Barbie dolls? they are beautiful but they copy their designs from Fashion designers, won’t they get in big trouble for that?

Thank you Anton. I meant Mattel has the best doll desingers in the doll industry, I am a fan of “Mattel originals”, none of these OOAK works interests me.
NiniMomos are not Mattel Designers, I guess they could be in trouble if some fashion designers & Miss Universe Organization decide to file a lawsuit–the organization operates Miss USA, Miss Teen USA and Miss Universe.

Hi dollsaga,
Thanks for the reply. I agree with you on Mattel originals. Some of ninimomos designs are just as expensive as a mattel Barbie and with a Mattel original it’s an investment.
One thing I dont like about most OOAK’s is they change the face, so technical they no longer look that great plus you are paying a lot of money for someone to wipe the face totally and than reconstruct.
They are beautiful but like you said they will run into BIG problems. You cannot deny thou that long hours have gone into designing and creating.
Alos did you know that Ninimomo created the offical doll for the 2010 national Barbie convention, well that’s what they claim on the site. Have you ever met them? they seem nice and socialable?
