I lost my bids…

well, I tried to win “paul Frank” steffie doll, but lost to proxy bids. her price didnt go up much, ended $20.16. I actully bidded $20.66, but I didnt win.

The reason I bidded on her as the 2009 convention “Tribute” Steffie looks just like her.

it saved me $20 since I didnt win. I’ll probably restyle an AA “Birthstone Beauties” to make an AA “Tribute”. it would be fun!

I supose this “Tribute” gift set is our official convention doll since they are designed by non-mattel designers? I would rather these dolls wear formal floor length dresses since the convention was themed “50th Golden Anniersary Gala”. also, the “then” doll should be Blond, the “now” doll should be brunette. but it doesnt matter, I have no intention to keep them for long.

The idiotic president decided to invite a short-tempered man to have a beer in white house. does the president know what is the focus of his job?! an arrogant man who’s verbally abusive, ddint want to cooperate with law enforcement, it happened he is black & a friend of president, both his black mayor & his black president sided with him, the picture in my eyes are really black. if they are not racists, what are they?!

most people would appreciate the police officer come to their homes to investigate a possible break-in, and cooperate without a question. but this abusive man actted differently. I do not believe an office would act “stupidly” if this black man didnt do anything abusively. he thought he could use his balck race card to insult an officer who was simply responding his job & protecting people. In many cases like this, it is not the “racists” but the one who plays “victim of Racism” who do the damage to this country.

Obama O’drama is also arrogant and cant take any critiques, how many times he has bitterly mentioned Sean Hannity? I bet he’d have actted just like this Gates if a police officer asked him to show ID at his front door.

offering a beer doesnt make Obama O’drama look any good— it’s better he offers an apology to all the police officers nationwide!

I have got A new girl! she is one of “so in style” dolls. some people are complaining mattel uses the same face mold, well, they dont understand, using the same face mold helps to lower the cost. they are sold $29 at Times Square, if they came with individaul face mold, the price would be $39.

anyway, I think the price is acceptable, she is prettier than Happy Holidays Barbie 2009

I quit 2009 Barbie Convention Yahoo! group, which means this chapter has been closed & left behind.

maybe I need to sell all the convention dolls before they go cold, so I can get fund for the 2010 convention? –okay, I am not really sure if I am going or if I should sell the dolls, if the US dollar keeps dropping its value, it’s better I keep the doll than cash. under obama administration, inflation is not avoidable.

The sticky legs!

I deboxed 2 “then & now” barbie dolls and found they both show signs of sticky or Sweaty legs. its only a bit sticky right now, but it will get worse for sure. again, they were made in Indonesia!

Playline dolls made in Indonesia intend to have Sweaty legs. I bought a LUPITA Barbie not so long ago, she had sweaty legs and she was made in Indonesia. It’s just disgusting, I gave her a new BB body and repainted her face a little bit, then I dumpped her on eBay. I wasnt happy with these sweaty dolls. Is Mattel aware of the problem?

my newly purchased “gone with the wind’ doll also has sticky legs, she was made in Indonesia. same problem with Princess of India…

I wasnt happy with these sweaty dolls. Both Gone with the wind & Princess of India are expensive.

2010 Barbie Convention

Golden Glam

my place is a mess, I planned to clean up today, but I didnt. instead, I played with my dolls. dressed them up with the new gold outfits I got from convention, I bought one set during room sale, received 2 sets as table gifts, and made 3 sets myself, so I have 6 Golden girls on display. I love them!

Barbie as Aphrodite

I love the designer’s imaginations and unqiue interpretation of Aphrodite, her facial paint, costume design, packaging… all together represent the best of Barbie and Mattel. she is a beautifully designed & well-made doll, artistically beautiful and techinically advanced.
