Goddess of Spring arrived early this morning, I dressed her with Lucy’s gown. This is one of the best deals I’ve got this year. I could not believe I won her, then, I thought the seller might withdraw the transaction, but I got her!

the hard part of repainting a Barbie is not the shape of her eyes or lips, but the shade of colors.

color shading actually plays important part in the entire process. if you have strong Sense of Color, your doll will look pretty enough to stand out.

I always get lost when it comes to the color of eye shadows. see, I have 2 unfinished dolls, but my work stopped here, b/c I am not sure in what kind of colors their eye shadows should be.

today’s shopping spree

I got some cash today, and immediately went on a shopping spree. A bottle of wine for myself, then, all the money went to dolls. Tintanic barbie, Lucy & ethel (well, I only want one dress from this set), 3 top models, My Melody, Queen of the heart, happy holidays 2007 (I want to reroot her with black saron hair)

Queen of the hearts has uneven eyes & eyebrows, I checked all the dolls on the shelf, but they are all like this. I could not find a perfect one. here comes the worst: the red color of the dress bled into her pale body, it looks so terrible. I hate when this happens.

Barbie as Goddess of Spring

Calendar shows that Spring has just arrived. but there is no Spring in NYC, winter is followed by Summer.

I bidded & won a “Goddess of Spring” doll today. I already have Goddess of spring, but I could not let good deals go. and this one is undressed. so I am going to make her 2 new dresses, one is “silver Spring”, the other is “Golden Glee”. she will be one of the most Beautiful Barbie dolls in my collections.

happy day, isnt it? life sometimes is full of saddness, but Barbie helps me to make lemonade with the sour lemon I have.

I am not the person who likes the national costumes too much. so I decided to give all of my Princess dolls new makeovers and new dresses.

I worked whole afternoon to make this new Chocolate Brown Dress for my Princess of China, it took a while to sew on the beats. She now is a very pretty Modern girl.

OOAK Vs. Knockoff

it’s strange that BC board allows these commercial OOAKers to post & advertise their products. To me, so-called “OOAK”s are just Barbie KnockOffs.

Mattel Lawyers cant do everything, right? so it is safe for me dump a few unwanted Barbies on eBay by giving them a makeover.
