I encountered TM Resort Barbie in TJ-Maxx’s. She want on my “Wanted- List”. but I decided to take her home–at least I liked her straw hat. that’s a pretty good reason to buy her.

I deboxed her on subway train,  she is quite nice, although I do not like her striped dress.

The top model dolls are nice in general, only their fashions are casual streetwears, that’s kind of dissappointing. Top models needs some glamor.

Injured Top Model Teresa

I bought 2 Teresa, both come with injured forhead. 2 Teresa Dolls were purchased in different stores, behind her long bang, both teresa has a cut wound right on the top of the right eye . How lucky I have got!

I was too mad, so I broke my rules about not buying more dolls before Xmas, I bought another Teresa from Lot-Less. This one is perfect! After I restyled her hair, I found myself like her–Lara Faced-doll was less favored, I dont have many Lara.

She looks very pretty.

Perhaps $95 is not the lowest price, her price wll drop to $69.

I dont have to have them all…

Once up a time, I thought of collecting all the Lea-faced Barbie Dolls. But quickly found it’s hard for me to love all the Leas. Some sure look better than the others, some are just not acceptable. Lea has very a short history, she was born in 2000, it’s not hard to have them all, although they are a few exceptions, most of them are at very reasonable price. I believe a complete Lea collection actually wont cost that much.

It’s better I only choose the ones I REALLY like. It saves myself lots of work & trouble in the future.

Anyway, after yesterday’s Shopping Spree at Barbie Collectors online Shop, I think I wont buy more Barbies until Christmas. Until then, “restructuring my collections” would be my main Task.

the Ideal Collection would be: less quantities, better qualities. each piece should be sellable at 2ndary market for a decent price, lol–so if Wall Street keeps sliding down, my Barbies wont be smashed into flat.

Barbie as Medusa

So, Medusa is here. Before I opened the box, I told my curious friend not to look at her, b/c she might just turn him into stone. lol. my brave friend was not afraid, he looked at her and said “oh, wow! but… isnt she supposed to be ugly?!” I replied: “well, this doll was made before she’s gone wild in the temple of Athena(Minerva)”

Overall, Medusa doll was very well made, her facial paint isnt like any Barbies made before, is pretty unique. Her hair-do was a chanllege for the hair stylists as well, since it has to look like thousands of snakes.

Shoes, Jewelries & Accessories are fantastic, all the artists who created her have used lots of imaginations & efforts.

To any collectors who are allergic to BHS, this doll has a huge head.

I am only having “temporary custody” of Medusa, after all, Medusa was an ugly creature, I do not want to keep a doll with so many ugly snakes. she will have to leave my house after serving my curiosity.
