OOAK Repaint: Miss Barbie Brown
Posted by dollsaga on June 21, 2008
I wasnt quite used to the look of my #1 Barbie Repro. these pointed eyebrows bothered me. so I repainted her. after I was done, I found the original look was quite cute. only God Knows why I didnt feel that way before I started going through all the troubles. but what’s done is done, here is the new face, since she has brown hair and wears brown dress, I call her Miss Brown:

Maybe I’ll buy the Vintage-looked Repro Back some day..
for now, I need to make accessories for this doll and complete her look, I have so many half-finished projects, but I dont want this one drag on forever…
ha, I found these 2 old photos from Last year, I think they both were sold.

UpDates:
I have done more OOAKs since I have time now:

There many kind of paint you can choose. I picked “Liquitex” Basic Matt and the salesperson at “Pearl Paint” recommended “Golden” Varnishes(satin) as sealer.
All of my brushes are also from Pearl Paint, they are a bit pricy if you compare to these sold at Walmart or K-mart, , but mine have very good quality. I have size 20/0, size 2/0, size 0000, size 00000
you may consult with the sales professionals in the art supply stores, some of them are aritist themselves.
